Broward Sheriff Al Lamberti told the Pompano BeachCity Commission at a recent meeting that he disagreed with a study that stated the city could save millions if it dropped the Broward Sheriff's Office and instituted its own police department.

"We think it's flawed and inconsistent," Lamberti said.
